In 2020, more than 250 festivals were cancelled in Portugal due to the pandemic. The cancellations affected thousands of professionals who dedicate their lives to the live entertainment industry. In response to this social issue, the União Audiovisual association was formed to collect and distribute food to audiovisual professionals. However, the association urgently needed funds to continue supporting unemployed professionals in the entertainment industry.

Four Portuguese agencies joined forces to create the UNCANCEL COLLECTION—a line of merchandise for cancelled events that could be purchased online. Proceeds went to the União Audiovisual. While it is common to buy merchandise from events we attend, it was now possible to buy merchandise for events that never even took place.
In the end, thousands of items were sold. As a result, União Audiovisual went from supporting 260 families to being able to support 344. The campaign made headlines in major media outlets, ranging from Expresso to TVI. It sparked a grassroots support movement involving celebrities such as Manel Cruz, Dead Combo, David Fonseca, Capicua, Pedro Abrunhosa, Vasco Palmeirim, and Catarina Furtado. União Audiovisual gained visibility that allowed it to attract the attention of various brands wishing to provide direct support.
